the Taliban are an Islamic fundamentalist militant group who over powered Afghanistan in 1994. They rule large parts of Afghanistan and its capital, Kabul.  The Taliban are known for their brutal repression of women. The Taliban can also hold un-fair punishments against children and men.

Brutality and Capital Punishment is a serious issue in Afghanistan. Many women have been executed in the most in-humane ways for minor offences. Even some that the Western world cannot interpret. 

There have been cases where women have been shot dead for offences such as adultery. Sometimes women can be stoned to death if they have dishonored their family, which is usually when she runs away with a man without permission, or even trying to escape her own husbands abuse. 

In Kabul, a woman was shot dead due to being accused of Adultery. A member of the Taliban had shot the women wrapped tightly in a shawl kneeling down in disgrace in front of a cheering crowd of men. After the women fell sideways from being shot, she was shot 7 more times as more men cheered on.

"The woman was not guilty;The Taliban are guilty" Salangi told Reuters
